Just passed the Amateur Extra exam. Practice tests sure do help. Now, I feel like I need to go back and make sure I know all the theory beneath the right answers!
Over the holiday, I spent some time with my brother in law. His is a ham too. He showed me his new Yaesu transceiver and we were listening to 7200 kHz on the 40 meter band. Lots of weirdness on there.
My current plan is to take the test for Amateur Extra before June 30th, 2024, less than two months away. I've been doing practice tests. Ham Radio Prep has a good study product for all of the exams, but it is not free. hamexam.org offers practice tests online for free. There are free Android apps called HamRadioExam by Roy Watson, N1ZTL . There are numerous other sites which require creating a login, such as ARRL Exam Review . The biggest challenge is the math.
